Negative reviews, uncomfortable feedback, and criticism. It's hard to hear, but don't waste the opportunity that mistakes present. Don't waste the chance to get better and improve your systems or processes. As hard as you try, you can't please everyone all of the time. Even the best perfectionist people pleasers make mistakes. Learn what you’re supposed to learn and move on. Don’t ignore negative feedback, hoping it will just go away, but also don’t obsess over it and let it ruin your day, week, month. Worse, don’t let it ruin your next event or client. Fix what needs to be fixed and don't dwell. Mistakes are simply opportunities to do better. The next time you mess up, and we all know you will, instead of being defensive consider saying "thank you" for the gift presented.
