100-ish Word Thought: Summer Bummer

Tips for summer in the wedding industry; beige graphic reading "Summer Bummer"; Julianne Smith

Take Your Break

Summer. It all seems so great until it isn't. It's hot, it's humid and it's not booking season. Just because my business is open 24/7, doesn't mean my customers are always ready to buy. When sales are down, it helps to put yourself in your clients shoes first. Where are they in their buy journey right now? Where are they in their booking process? I sometimes (OK, oftentimes) get so worried in summer when sales are down. Until I remember that my potential clients are enjoying the summer too. They aren't in "buying mode" right now. But once fall hits and the vacation ends, they will be. And I better be ready. I better take my break now and not spend my summer fretting trying to fix a system that's not broken. It's simply in a slow season. Embrace the season you're in and trust that with all seasons, the next one is right around the corner.
