100-ish Word Thought: Discipline is self care

Social media marketing wedding business tips; beige graphic reading "Discipline is self care"; Julianne Smith

Consistency Is King

Discipline is one of the best forms of self-love that you can give your business. Discipline doesn't have to be negative though. Discipline can simply be the act of consistently sticking with it. Having the discipline to not give up when things get busy or frustrating is a proven marketing tactic. It's right up there with using trending audio and photo selection. Fun fact, if you work with me, I don’t measure stats month-to-month. I measure year-to-year. What happened this time last year? Because you and I both know that what happens in the wedding and event industry in October is wildly different than in November. It's unhelpful to measure November stats against October. Instead, comparing to last year, 2 years ago, 5 years ago gives your business a leg up. History is a competitive advantage over newbie competition with an Instagram account, and nothing else to show for it. You have history on your side. It's a marketing advantage that you can’t buy. Don’t waste it by being undisciplined.
