Don't Feed The Animals

Content that makes others feel good about will always win in the end. Clickbaity content that makes others feel like they need a shower will always lose. In an industry and culture for known for only sharing highlights and aspirational content, I’m reminded of the painful lesson that your posts must at their core be designed to make others feel good. If you’re posting to brag or show off that doesn’t feel good for long, because in this day and age - especially in the wedding and event space - you’re only as good as your last post. You’re forever searching to feed the hungry alligator who, I hate to break it to you, will never be full. You, your business, your audience, and the algorithms never be satisfied with content that doesn’t help others. Vanity is an insatiable motivator that will have you endlessly chasing all the wrong things. Flip the script. Create helpful content and you'll see your shelf life skyrocket.
