For my businesses & my clients, I use a "website first" approach to content creation, organization & marketing. Every piece of content I put out to the world whether on Pinterest, email or social media, always lives on my website somewhere. I adapt the content to fit the platform, of course, but the original idea, tip or concept has it's permanent home on my website, that I own. Employing a website first strategy will help you on Pinterest 10-fold. Plus, it's good business practice for many reasons that have nothing to do with Pinterest. Consider it your insurance policy against changes or trends. If the government shuts down TikTok tomorrow or Instagram changes their algorithm yet again, it doesn't matter because you have your content right where you can control it - on your website.
