In our quest to do this, make an effort - a real effort - to educate your customers. Why do things cost what they cost?
Your clients are not dumb or poor, they’ve just never done this before. Not being a wedding expert doesn’t make them idiots.
My clients are nurses, doctors, lawyers, teachers - I couldn’t imagine trying to do their job. Why should I expect them to do mine?
So the next time a client comes to you with the often-dreaded “champagne taste on a beer budget” that many like to mock, consider that you might be the problem, not them. There is a gap in your education.
You’re not making the helpful information available so they can do their research.
Everyone has had enough inspiration. It’s everywhere. This is about digging deep and making our industry researchable.
