100-ish Word Thought: Beast Mode

Wedding and event business marketing tips and advice about how to not give up from Julianne Smith

MORE IS NOT MORE

The secret to effortless marketing is that when you find something that works, do less. Not stop. Rather, for you - personally - to do less of that thing.

We often get this backward.

After all, if something is successful, it would make sense that the way to more success is to do more of that thing, right?

This doesn't usually work.

Doubling or even tripling down on specific marketing efforts tends to lead to a point of diminishing returns. There's only so much you can get out of one platform or one tactic. At some point, you have to explore new things, try new tactics, and tap new audiences.

Except that you need to be free to do this.

You can't meet clients where they are in all the places if you're bogged down or overdoing it on one or two things.

So, if something is working, the solution isn't to do more, it's to automate. Systematize it. Get it off your plate. Now, you're free to tackle the next thing. And the next.

Rinse and repeat.
