100-ish Word Thought: Networking, but minus the small talk
Avoiding Panic Mode
In the wedding and event space (and in life!) marketing is a constant battle between urgent and important. It’s easy to put off writing blog posts or creating Reels - until inquiries slow down, and suddenly it all feels urgent. If you punt your marketing, you may not see the impact right away, but in 6-8 months, when inquiries dry up, you’ll feel it.
And that's when the panic sets in.
On the flip side, successful marketing has lead generation as part of the ongoing to-do list - even when it's busy season. Just like at a networking event, you don’t bust in the room and demand business from everyone you meet - online marketing works the same way. You can’t expect to turn on a fountain of leads just because you suddenly have time.
Marketing is not "either or" it's "both and." Your work is keeping the marketing going while doing your job. It's not turning it off until you have time again.
